BOOM Instructor Training Part 2 & Part 3 Video Tutorials: Terms and conditions

1. You have read the ‘INFO’ pages on the BOOM website (including the ‘FAQ’s’) and you fully  understand how to use the video tutorials to prepare yourself for the qualifying tests. 2. To become a driving instructor you must be over 21 years old, have held a full driving licence for at  least 3 years and have not been banned (disqualified) from driving in the last 4 years. 3. You must be a fit and proper person to become a driving instructor. The DVSA could refuse your  application if you: 

a. have 5 or more penalty points. 

b. have been convicted of any non-motoring offences. 

In this case you should apply to DVSA first for a criminal record check before buying the course.  Apply to DVSA to become a driving instructor at www.gov.uk/apply-to-become-a-driving-instructor 4. If you have been convicted of a sexual, violent, financial or drug related crime or banned from  working with children it is unlikely your application with DVSA to become a driving instructor will be  accepted. If this is the case do not purchase the video tutorials as DVSA won’t accept you onto the  register to become a driving instructor. 

5. You are paying for access to watch the specific video tutorials which you have bought access to. Nothing else is included in the fee you have paid. 

6. Once purchased you will have full access to the part 2 or part 3 video tutorials and resources for a  fixed period.  

• You will have full unlimited access to watch the Part 2 video tutorials for 12 weeks from the  date of purchase. After this period has elapsed you will no longer be able to access the Part  2 video tutorials. 

• You will have full unlimited access to watch the Part 3 video tutorials for 26 weeks from the  date of purchase. After this period has elapsed you will no longer be able to access the Part  3 video tutorials. 

• You will have full unlimited access to watch the Part 3 test lesson demonstrations (or  Standards Check lesson demonstrations) for 6 weeks from the date of purchase. After this  period has elapsed you will no longer be able to access these videos. 

7. The fees paid for the video tutorials are non-refundable. You have immediate access to watch the  videos once purchased, therefore a refund will not be issued. This is because a person could  consume (or watch) the all the videos over a 24 hour period and print all the resources. The value of  the video tutorials is the information and teachings within the video tutorials and resources provided. 

8. If you share your login details/password with another person (or persons) your access to the video  tutorials will be cancelled and you will be locked out. This will be when we can see that your login  details are being used on multiple devices at different locations at the same time. In this case no  refund will be issued. The video tutorials are only to be watched by yourself, being the person who  has made the purchase. 

9. Self-practice is required therefore you will need use of a car. 

10. You should practise teaching pupils before taking the part 3 test. A minimum of 20 hours practice is  recommended.  

11. You are buying online video tutorials for self-learning purposes. No in-person one-to-one training, or  in-car training is included in the fee’s paid. 

12. A 45 minute phone/or video call with Jonathan needs to be paid for separately. 

13. If you intend to apply for a Trainee Licence (aka PDI Licence/Pink Badge) the following applies: • Learning from the Part 3 Video Tutorials can only count towards the required 40 hours  training needed to apply for a PDI Licence with the cooperation of your sponsoring ADI. • You must communicate with your sponsoring ADI to establish whether they are prepared to  use the Part 3 Video Tutorials as part of their 40 hours training. 

• It is the responsibility of your sponsoring ADI to provide all training required relating to a PDI  Licence. • It is the responsibility of your sponsoring ADI to sign all forms to be sent to DVSA (such as  the ADI 21T Instructor Training Declaration form).
